Impressions of Monet

The smattering of brightly colored patches floated across the small pond like poofy white clouds in the bright blue sky. It is easy to see how famous impressionist painter Claud Monet became enamored with the water lilies.

The first stop of my photo expidition to France was to Giverny, in the upper Normandy region. Jetlag and the deep crowds hoping to capture the Monet Magic couldn't hide the inspiring site I immediately saw.

On my first visit, I was struck by the beauty of the randomness. As I listened to the drones of the bullfrogs, I wanted nothing more than to capture the true beauty that Monet saw in this place over 100 years ago. By the time I left on my second visit, I believed I had something special and I hope you agree.
