Strawberry Moon Over Tuscany

Strawberry Moon Over Tuscany

Tuscany, Italy

June’s full moon is often referred to as the “strawberry moon” as the Algonquin tribes knew that it signified thatfruits, such as strawberries, were ripe for the picking. This years also coincided with the summer solstice, which hasn’t occured since 1967. I was fortunate enough to be standing in front of the Cappella di Vitaleta when it cameup over the hillside in Tuscany on that day this year. A rare event captured in a very beautiful region of Tuscany.
