Reine Rorbuer

Reine, Norway

Traditional fisherman’s cabins (rorbu) dot the landscape of the Lofoten Islands. These rustic red cabins that date back to the 1890s were once used as lodgings for visiting fishermen from all over Norway during the annual winter cod fishing seasons. Now, they house fishermen, as well as tourists there to experience the wonders of Lofoten.

  • I use the highest quality materials to ensure your prints will last for generations to come. All prints are hand signed and available in limited editions to 250, in various sizes as matted prints, stretched canvas, framed canvas, or metal.

    Fine Art Matted Prints

Finished with an archival white mat, prints are mounted on a acid-free backing board. Each print is available in a variety of standard sizes, ready for your framing.

Stretched Canvas - Ready to Hang

For a more contempoary option, your selected image is printed on a high quality canvas and stretched around a wooden stretcher bar frame. The stretched canvas gives the image a softer, three-dimentional effect perfect for many of my images. A moisture and U.V. protectant are added. Once stretched, it is ready for hanging directly on your wall or adding a decorative frame to match your home decor.

    Stretched Canvas with Premium Framing

This alternative gives your stretched canvas a finished look. A shadow box frame makes it appear as though the stretched canvas is floating within a black wooden frame. The shadow box effect allows you to view the stretch canvas as the image wraps around the edges while framing the artwork. The slight curve of the finshed 3-inch wide frame offers a soft delicate touch that completes the look and works in modern to traditional decors.
