I
find it amazing that we can spend hours staring at a single piece of art,
whether it be a sculpture, a painting, a photograph, or other artistic
impression. An artistic image inspired by nature can timelessly capture our
imagination and transport us to far away places. But yet, we rarely take the
time to enjoy the natural beauty surrounding us, the inspiration for the
artistic image we take pleasure from. It is my goal to capture that piece of
nature, that moment in time, or that fragment of our environment, that makes us
all wish to be there again.
I use the lens of my camera to paint the artistic images I see in nature for the rest of the world to delight in. It is Mother Earth’s original art; I merely wait for the exact right moment to freeze it in time. Taken on film the photographs that I choose to share with others are an accurate interpretation of the nature scenes, classic architecture, and other surroundings that inspire me. Customized matting and framing further magnify the beauty and serenity captured in my photographs. Enhanced by the effects of the camera, natural light, and always the presentation, my images showcase the work of nature beyond what the human eye can enjoy alone. |
